My wife and I were traveling from Maryland to Tennessee and looked this place up online. The atmosphere was fantastic, service great and the food was very tasty and well prepared. We both had the chef's daily pasta with beef tips and it was extremely good.
This is a piece of history. If you have the opportunity to stop by for a drink for dinner, I highly recommend it staff is courteous polite professional. It is quaint great for all occasions this establishment was built-in 1779 and has been a plethora of venues.
I have been to this storied restaurant/tavern many times now and it is always perfect. The food usually includes some ingredient or feature that is unusual to me but I always find it amazing. The service is top notch and the atmosphere of a building almost as old as our country is charming and ever interesting. I highly recommend checking it out!
I went here with my colleagues for business dinner and overall it was fantastic! The food and the service and even the seating were terrific. I highly recommend this as a destination that anybody should go to if they're going to be in the area. We drove about 40 miles to get here from Kingsport Tennessee because of how highly recommended it was. The peanut butter pie was to die for!
